I second Ryan.
Please check the VA logs, and hopefully the CommandView Console.
If you only have access to the Serial port then dsp -a
also armlog <-- but be warned, it will be LONG!

VA's can be finicky, I would reboot VA. Before reloading anything. Is the VA in a ready state? Anything showing in the VA logs?
