If memory serves:
REMOTE:NODE2 HELLO .....
FILE MYTAPE;DEV=NODE2#TAPE
RESTORE *MYTAPE;...
The reply for the tape mount will need to be entered on the machine where the drive is attached.
Good luck!
John

Subject: [HP3000-L] Remote tape drive and 997 update
997 array has been rebuilt and server up and running. Thanks to all for
assistance.
Have notes but can't find them right now on how to use a remote tape drive.
I want to restore some files from my office here onto the 997 in a remote
location. If anyone has that handy I can work on it rather than dig through
files trying to find it.
TIA!!!
Wes
