Tim,

INETCNF, is the best place to start.  Turn off everything you are not using.

Also, you can stop SNMP

XEQ SNMPUTIL.NET.SYS;info="SNMPCONTROL OFF"

Subject: Traceroute/ICMP/Echo

We are running Nessus (written by Tenable but oddly enough resold by HP) for computer security detection.

It complains about ICMP and Echo being observed running on MPE.
It is able to learn MPE system clock time.
It can make MPE reveal FQDN (node name) and Traceroute information.

I have turned off Echo in INTED.NET.SYS, INETDCNF.NET.SYS, and INCNFSMP.NET.SYS.

I am looking for other places where these network services can be reconfigured or turned off.
