Which OS are you using, I have experienced some issues with Win 7 running RCL scripts for file transfers.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Reflection question

Environment: Reflection 12.0.8, Powerhouse application

Application has a function key defined to invoke a RCL script which
suspends the current vtmgr connection to the 3000, opens a serial
connection called "scale", reads the weight from the truck scale, closes
the serial connection, resumes the vtmgr session and transmits the
weight to the application.

On a new intsallation the app hangs up somewhere in the RCL script and
locks up everthing. The only thing to do at this point is to close
Reflection. But if I first unlock the configuration (esc&q0L) and then
simply view the connection settings and click OK then the app works as
expected. It continues to work until the R1 session is closed. Saving
the settings file when the app is working does not help.

What does viewing the current connection settings do that makes it
work???

I asked this question of Attachmate as a supported customer but got only
a canned answer that version 12 is obsolete.

Regards,
John
