Randy,
In my experience, it is an un-initialized buffer.

Subject: DBAUDIT question
Looking to find what is creating NULL values when records are being put. Does anyone know of a selection for that?
Suprtool and others allow you to select a value LessThan a blank ( custgrp-pb-item < " ")
Don't find anything in the Dbaudit manual.
