Jack, I agree, good point. Without BULDACCT and the right STORE parms , you don't really have a "FULL" backup.

Donna,
In reference to a "not too small machine", I agree, it would not be good to do a sysgen "tape [log in to unmask]@.@", as to need more than one tape..
As a well known Detective once said: " Just the Operating System Ma'am", no user volumes or application accounts.
Maybe "tape store=/;Directory;ONVS=MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET" would work, if tape passes all these parms to STORE, and the user volumes are not mixed up with the system volume.
Thanks again for all your input,

My customer is having a problem bringing the system up with FLT CBF0 trap error...
They had a major power surge problem at the area, where the outside power surge on the street blew up...
They cant bring the system up since then, but it does not look like a power problem...
I tried to reset all the boards, memory, but the same error...
Any ideas, directions will be appreciated...

a cbf0 simply means that a hpmc occurred. the rest of the numbers are
necessary to know what happened. - d

There should be about 4 errors any others? You can troubleshoot by starting with mother board, power supply, core IO, small power board in front near memory and front Led display. Pull everthing else out. Tell me what error comes up.. Then we can go from there.

If you really need someone to fly there, I will do it for you.
Heck, you pay for the flight and hotel, I will fix the system. :-)
