Here's another way to look at it (from a country boy's perspective!)   A 
disc is pulled behind a tractor on a field after it has been plowed.   A 
disk is used to store data on a computer.

and also if you want to get picky - I don't consider that "memory".   
People often refer to having xx gigabytes of memory on their PC - and I 
disagree.  They have gigabytes of disk storage, but far less than that 
of actual "memory".    Of course this way of thinking is coming from 
being very old and remembering my first job, where we had reduce the 
size of our programs so that they could physically run in the 48K of 
memory that we had for the entire CPU.    We had 96KD of memory.
