The NSD account is a frequent cause of many problem because $STDLISTs
are allowed to build-up for years. MPE's file system cannot handle a
large number of files in one location (group or directory) and having
"tightly" named files aggravates the problem.

Allegro's BIGDIRS (http://www.allegro.com/?page_id=77) program was
written to help diagnose this problem and hopefully prevent a system
reload. You want to routinely be checking your entire system for the
"too many files" problem. - d
