Thanks' for very fast response,

I will coming back with the STORE and RESTORE command, with all options.

The restore was succeeded but it seems that the data is restored to MPEIX_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET.

how did you create the accounts?
what's your :RESTORE command (and what was the :STORE command)?
any errors?
does "no data goes to the private volume set" mean that it's not being restored or that it ends up in the SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET?

It's been too long since I've done anything on a 3k, but iirc, accounts (and groups) should be created wiht an ;ONVS argument. Maybe there is an ;ONVS arg for :RESTORE (as there is for :STORE)?

I trust you'll get more informed answers as soon as they start to wake up on the other side of the Atlantic.

Hi everyone


I wonder if anybody knows how to do a recovery on private volume set?

The scenario is: A new disk storage system
Have a complete backup from the old disk storage system, and a SLT tape as well.
I have create the accounts on the new disk storage system, also add the private volume with the volutil
When trying to do a restore, no data goes to the private volume set
