I went through the service manual on it, but I can't find anything specifying which is which.  They do recommend replacement in pairs and only if one controller has good batteries.

The replacement recommendation is to shut down the 12H from the front panel, wait for it to shut down cleanly, then remove ONLY the controller with bad batteries and replace same.

Hope this is of some value.
