Because nowhere have I read (nor no one ever told me until now) that's how the COMMAND intrinsic behaves.  (Say as opposed to other intrinsics.)

Why would you presume it is not the same as CIERR?

It is a CI warning 1627 since it is negative.


I usually will set CIERROR to the number of the error and look at HPCOERRMSG to see what it says:

SETVAR CIERROR 1627
SHOWVAR HPCIERRMSG
HPCIERRMSG = "!" not interactive.  Message not sent to job (CIWARN 1627)...

My error messages manual has errors for other intrinsics, but not the COMMAND intrinsic (and I presume it is not the same as CIERR.)

Any ideas:
