John,

Seems like you solved the problem already. With security issues, I like to do LISTF,4 to see what kind of access I have to the file. If the file has ACDs (shown in LISTF,4 output), use LISTF,-2 to see what they are.

We have a menu system that involves user being in a logon nobreak udc that runs a menu program, and logs them out at end.
This morning we are seeing failures and logouts showing security violations, both on the udc file involved (in pub), and when the menu program (in C) trying to open an ascii file for write. All users have IA,BA,PH,MR,SF,ND,  files are as in below, and release doesn't help - they are local to the user. Account mgr is ok, as he has more caps, but....it was OK last week...

Change lately - installed GHOSTPCL from lars, but that has its own account, so shouldn't be relevant.....Tons of free space (> 1GB)
