Use Vipre from Sunbelt Software as I do and you won't have that problem. You
will get the best AV and firewall program available, too.

Subject: [HP3000-L] system scans

Oh vaunted ones:

When my AVG downloads updates and then scans my laptop (dual
pentium), it slows it to a crawl for 15 or 20 minutes. I almost
can't do anything else on it. Do others experience the same? I have
it set to do this at 2AM, but if the system has gone to sleep it
won't perform it until the next time I wake it up. So my next
question is, can I set my laptop to wake up at 1:55 AM every
morning? Windows XP.

As always, I appreciate the expert advice.

John Lee
