Dear James,
I think you want Set modify Robelle and look at the Line Modify codes:
http://www.robelle.com/ftp/qrg/qeditqrg.pdf
Look at Splice lines which is Contol-T then Control-V
add
1 line 1
2 line 2
3 //
/set mod robelle
/m 1
1 line 1
1 line 1 line 2
/
Neil

I want to splice the following line to the current line whilst in Modify
mode using control character commands.
I have a vague recollection of doing this ages ago but I cannot find any
documentation of such a feature. Is it possible? How is it done if so?
I am not talking about the glue command, which one calls with arguments
from the command interface.
