Further dumb question.

When logged on to development as mgr.test can you run editor/quad and 
save a file to the same group that designer is saving to? Can you run 
dbutil or dbschema, can you run formspec?

i.e. are we looking at something that just affects Designer or something 
that affects "things" in general when connected to that lan?
