We have a 4200 procurve J8773A as our main switch here - almost fully loaded with ports + some fibre gbics.
Hasn't missed a beat in 3 years now, but just now we had a total loss of connectivity for a minute or two, and then all came back ok. The switch being the central item, I logged onto it, and it showed an uptime of minutes....alert log empty. Spontaneous reboot?

Not a general power loss, as all the servers stayed up, no alerts from the UPS's . the unit has 2 power supplies, but I would have expected to see an alert if one was down.

Anybody have any experience in the area please?

Regards,

John Pitman
