We need a bit more info.  Can you cut and paste a couple screens before the fail?

What is "predicted support point?"

What disk are you installing to?

loading 5.5 virgin HP tapes (no power patchs) on a 959KS, it fails at the
Auto Install at predicted support point... does anyone know how to get
around this?

The tapes are fine and the hardware is also tested ok as well.
