Michael,
Just a couple thoughts....
Check the settings on the console, possibly reset the console.
reset the GSP (use paperclip in the GSP reset on the back of the n-class)
Can you telnet into the GSP? When accessing the GSP, do you have administrator access?
Does the system respond to a Control-B?
HTH,
-Craig

Subject: N4000 Hang on Bootup

Hi All,
An old HP3000 client of mine called me yesterday. They re-booted their
HP3000 after it had been off for a few weeks. It's an N4000. Apparently
they need to get some data off it. It wouldn't boot so they called me
in.
I did a ctrl-B and >RS at the GSP prompt. It went through the bootup
process until the point where you get a message that says something like
press any key to interrupt autoboot. At that point there is no response
from the keyboard. It boots to the >ISL prompt but you can't type
anything in at that point.
I did all the usual troubleshooting, like checking cables, complete
power off and back on again but it hangs at the same point.
Could be a disc or cpu issue perhaps ?

Michael Redmond
