The build command in the online help has an incorrect statement:

File names can begin with, and contain, any of the
                    following characters:

                       a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _, ., ~, `, $, %, ^, *, {, },+,|,:

This is the only place that lists all these characters. The manuals and the
online file command have the correct character set which is:

a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _, -, .

This is the character set that I would recommend since it is compatible with
most of the other operating systems. Including Windows.
