My best friend's advice to me when I was about to become a parent was,
"Don't yell, grab a camera." And it works on so many levels too... Not
only have my wife and I been able to laugh at many situations in
hindsight, but I now have pictures of my kids that will ensure they are
home by curfew for years to come.
Thanks for sharing the laugh and the story Ray,
Paul

Subject: [HP3000-L] OT: Kids and snow (real life humor)
We had a foot of snow yesterday here in Dallas, Texas, and that's
an all-time 24 hour record (heck, we usually may get 1 or 2 inches of
snow for the entire year). It was already about 8 inches deep when I
was driving home yesterday, and when I pulled into my driveway, I
noticed the garage door was up and my wife's car was not there.
I pulled into the garage, got out of my car, and I could here a
small engine running - I figured it was a snow blower, but who in
Dallas, TX would own a snow blower?! Anyway, I went into the house, and
the engine sound was coming from my back yard, so I opened the back
door, and there was my 14 year old son - mowing the snow with my lawn
mower!! Yup, the mower was packed with snow (you could barely see the
thing), and after I got done yelling at him, I realized that it was
pretty funny, and that I wished I would have filmed it for funny videos
or something.
Hope everyone has a great weeknd!!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty and
well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming:
-- WOW!!! What a Ride!!!
