It's been awhile, Joshua, but I think you want the SKIPEOF=+n, and I think 2 is the number of EOFs/tape marks you'll see at the beginning of the tape.

I'm not close to a machine right now, or I'd verify for you.

I have a tape i'm trying to get data off of.  I'm pretty sure that data was put
on the tape by fcopying a file to it.

Here is what I do:

FILE TAPE;DEV=7
FCOPY FROM=*TAPE;TO=;CHAR;HEX;SUBSET=(0,2)

These are the results I get.  Does this mean the tape is blank?
