Greetings,

I have this dataset...

Entry: Offset
   FILE-NO X6 1
   ITEM-NAME X16 7
   GROUP X8 23
   RUN-DATE I1 31

The item RUN-DATE holds an 8-character date in the form of yyyymmdd but I can't
get anything in a human-readable format. I've defined the item as noted in
the manual, (2,integer), but nothing works.

Is there any way to test that field for a date value such as =20090909?

If I can extract it somehow, I could use a table and $LOOKUP, but even playing around
with STExport provided nothing.

Thanks,

Ernie
