Greg,

  SYSTEM ABORT #1457 FROM SUBSYSTEM #102 (Process Manager)
A system process is being terminated due to a trap.

  Is a very common SA, without a memory dump it would be impossible to tell what is happening.

  What Model HP are you running?  Do you know the PDC?
  What version of MPE/iX are you running? Do you know the patch level?
