Last night when the story was still hiking on the Appalachian trail, the
liberal news was having a lot of fun.

"Hey governor, when we told you to take a hike, we didn't mean it
literally."
"How bad is the truth if they have to use that as an excuse?"
And comments to the effect that you can't take off on a 5-day hike without
preparations that someone should notice "Hey honey, why are you packing the
sleeping bag? And what's with the camp stove?"

I'm guessing the liberals will have even more fun tonight, and even the
convseratives might be a bit grumpy.

My own contribution "Why can't he at least buy American like Elliot
Spitzer?"

Well I guess the story would be that a man who is the Governor of a State
and a potential Presidential candidate in 2012 would be stupid enough to run
off to Argentina to be with his mistress and think he could not tell anyone
where he was for 7 days. That sems like enough material for a story. If he
was just some guy working at the post office and he did that then there is
no
story but he is a national figure so I have no problem with the press
reporting
on this - do you?
