I agree with Duane. That's when HP started to hire a lot of SEs, CEs, and
SRs to support the HP3000 line. There was a lot of HP interest in converting
IBM S/3 RPG sites to HP3000s. I was there doing that in 1976.

I am no expert in these matters, but I would offer the Series II as a better
starting point.
