Hello all

I have an intermittent problem that is possibly from Samba. I create a text file
on a server and place it on the HFS directory. On my HP I have a cobol
program that runs every 2 minutes to copy this file to the HP and process it.
Sometimes the copy returns a file with a eof of 0. When I look at the file
(that I copied from) on the network it has records in it. (The job on the
server that creates the file also runs every 2 minutes and reports no errors.)
There seems to be no rhyme or reason why it does this. It has been 'stuck'
for up to 1/2 hour and it has run for days with no problems.

There is another process that does something similar and that seems to have
no problems.

Any ideas?

TIA

Barb
