I have a requirement to move a file from one of our Linux systems
onto the HP3000 and parse its contents to add a number of records
into an Image database. I can produce this file in a variety of
formats. The data records comprise two 3 character codes and 2 fixed
precision numbers expressed as variable length strings between 8 and
12 characters, including the decimal point.

Does anyone here have an example of parsing either a csv or xml
format ascii text file in QTP? I will figure this out eventually
but, given the length of time since I did any serious lifting in
QTP, it likely will take a while for me to recover anything
approximating my former skill. If anyone can provide a sample of
the code required then I will avail myself of the assistance.
