I was at a cigar shop last night, and they had signs posted all over that the container charge for bulk tobacco is going from $35,000 to $250,000 when unloaded at a dock, which can only mean the cost will be passed to the consumer. I haven't heard of the tax on ammo, but sounds like a similar pattern.

I went to wal-mart to buy some safety glasses for racquetball 2 days
ago.  There is this long line at the counter to buy bullets because
these guys think someone is going to put a 500% tax on bullets.

 

Has anyone heard of a tax on bullets?
