I've stayed away now for two years, licking my wounds and adjusting to early
retirement. I miss so many of you.. but was browsing the archives briefly and
noticed this. It started me wondering how many of us are finding today's IT
world so foreign as to make it untenable. I've chatted with several other 'old-
timers' who find themselves shaking their heads in dismay - clean, efficient,
flexible solutions, and those who think in those terms when designing them,
appear to be a dying breed.

Think I'll do a bit more reading - it's hard to turn your back and walk away.
