Hi Jim,

Ah, the joy of having a team of fact-checkers, to cover for a guy who was writing too late last night. Thanks for the catch!

Ron

Ron,

Apple invented the iPhone ... I know you are aware and I am sure it is
just an editing error.

Hello Friends,

My sense of loss is deep at this sad news. Wirt was one of the things
that made the HP 3000 an extraordinary creation, something to spark a
community as vivid and vibrant as he was, exuberant in print and in
person.

We've finally wrapped up our story about his passing and a portion of
his legacy, for those who did not know of him, and those who are
grappling to accept his transition:

irt-atmar-dies.html>

Thanks to Connie Sellito for pointing to our 1997 interview we published
on him.

A PhD scientist who could manage a world's record poster project and
invite the world to enjoy an enchilada with him in his hometown is a
unique person whose value cannot be calculated. My partner Abby and I
are headed off now to have a memorial enchilada, as Jim Phillips has
suggested. Our condolences, and assurance about the future of AICS go to
Valerie, whose decades of management of their company may have prepared
her for the hardest release of all.

Best to all,

Ron Seybold
