I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Wirt's passing.

We may not have seen eye-to-eye on a number of subjects, but I always
respected his ability to articulate in a clear fashion his reasoning behind his
positions.

The amazing depth and breadth of his knowledge and his willingness to share
that with others, and his generosity to individuals, and to the community as a
whole - is a testament to the man.

I 'met' Wirt while helping do some early 'beta' tests of QCTerm - over the
phone and via email. I feel genuine envy for those who had the opportinity to
have met him in person.

I offer my condolences to his friends and family - he will be missed.
