Wirt was a unique genius, I met him in my early 20's and really 
looked up to him for a long time and would call him just to ask 
fatherly advice about various topics.  In later years we obviously 
clashed on social and political issues, but it never diminished my 
respect for his unique way of approaching an issue.  I had many long 
and enjoyable talks with him at lunch/dinner/trade shows.  the world 
is a lesser place for the loss of his genius.
