The 7970,7974,7976,7978 and 7980 all use reels of 1/2 inch wide magnetic
tape...

Thanks,

Gary

Subject: [HP3000-L] HP 7980S SCSI 3/4" tape drive for sale

I know, I know - quit laughing, but I thought I read about someone looking
for
a 3/4" tape solution for a newer machine awhile back, and thought I would
give this a try. The 7980 is the lowest profile 3/4" tape drive HP made -
the "pizza oven". So if anybody is looking for one, it's probably going to
go
fairly cheap - I might even throw in a couple of A3352A 4GB SCSI drives to
sweeten the deal. Email [log in to unmask] with a generous offer...

Wow, January's gone already...

Happy day,
Brett
