I just did mine last week and used checklist "L" since I'm used to using
AUTOINST. Using checklist "A" is for Patch/iX. Which one you are most
familiar with should be the one you use. Either one will work OK.

Subject: [HP3000-L] mpe 7.5 powerpatch 5
One last time :(
I will miss even this
Anyway, I have the powerpatch tape and plan to go to pp5 this weekend.
The first step is always the hardest...
... in my trusty, well-worn "HP e3000 MPE/iX System Software Maintenance
Manual (Release C.75.00), do I follow checklist "A" (Manage Patches, page
31) or checklist "G" (Update with Tape, page 43) ?
I see in my notes that I have done both back in 2002 / 2003, with no obvious
damage.
No other patches this time besides the powerpatch tape.
