I'm curious, to some degree, about the relative "computational power" of an HP918RX vs., say, an Intel x86-based processor (I'm actually thinking 386, but that might be generous...)
Remember that "alternate" environment I was having problems with last week? we finally got it all straightened out, and I launched my "front end", and watched (in semi-real time) the results posted to the ODBCLOG as I logged in and updated my application password.
several minutes later...
I decided to check on the system -- that is when I found they had set up this "environment" on an 918RX -- a bit of a drastic downsizing from an HP979-400
Next, they will want to make this environment available to "a limited number of users" -- I'm trying to figure out a diplomatic way of telling them the recommended "limited number of users" for that environment is "less than one"...
