BTW- What application are you running on the HP3000?
-------

Yes, you must shutdown and start the system without the sysstart file

AT THE ISL > START NORECOVERY NOSYSSTART

Then look at system logs LOG####.PUB.SYS

PURGE LOG####.PUB.SYS
PURGE NMLG####.PUB.SYS

Store and purge all spoolfiles

FILE T;DEV=TAPE
STORE @.OUT.HPSPOOL;SHOW This will give you a list of the spoolfiles
by number if you need to recover them.

Store the spoolfiles last as you will need the space to run your job
=========
There may be other files ou there such as leftover Suprtool files that
creat "OUTPUT" files

listf [log in to unmask]@.your production account,2
Maybe old cognos files as well..

Rid yourself of the junk files..
