Jeff,
I am glad to know that someone else on this list is mindful of this day
and the horrific events that happened seven years ago.
As political as this group tends to be, I am surprised yours was the
first on this topic. Then again, this event has nothing to do with
politics, so perhaps some don't care.
I remember how this single event galvanized this country: we weren't
left-wingers or right-wingers, Democrats or Republicans, liberals or
conservatives on 9/12. We were AMERICANS.
In this election year with all the political rhetoric in the media and
all the campaign bull*** flying around, I mourn for the death of our
American Spirit, our love of country and countrymen, and support for our
government to do its job.
We lost our innocence seven years ago...and no one cares.
Jeff

Subject: [HP3000-L] Some numbers to remember on 9/11
>To all;
I am reminded of the 2,751 people who lost theirs lives 7 years ago
today on 9/11 in New York City!
2,974 died in total, excluding 19 hijackers (may they be impotent in
the hereafter!), 24 are missing and presumed dead.
90, the number of countries who lost people in the attack by Radical
Islam on the west.
175, 77, 93,11 numbers of flights hijacked
2553 days since 9/11/01.
It was a chilly morning as I listened to the radio on my way to my
Men's Breakfast. I heard that a plane had hit one of the twin towers
in NY city but no one could have imagined that it was an airline
plane and that someone could actually have planned and purposely made
it happen by piloting the airplane with hundreds aboard right into
the tower. Then, someone else came in a bit late with more of the
terrible news. It became apparent that it was a deliberate,
pre-planned attack killing so many innocent people!!!!
I am thankful that nothing like this has taken place since 9/11.
Thank you to the U.S. Armed Forces! Thank you Mr. President! Thank
God, too!
Jeff
