Hi Michael ;)
Actually, I have to differ... The former CEO of Exxon was worth $400
million as that is what he/she got...Value is established by what is
actually paid for something.

I am learning this by having to place values on my Father's model
railroad collection... SP 4449 Brass, Freedom Train Paint Scheme vs. SP
4449 in Daylight Paint Scheme... Which is worth more? (note he has
multiples of both!) Or what is the value of his little Brass, SP
Electric Switcher? (hint it is quite literally the only one in the
world as he made it and entered into contract negotiations to have it
produced during which it was registered as the only one available and he
was the only one authorized to make that model) The estimates I am
getting all say "cannot be valued until one is sold"... Since he has the
prototype and 3 production models he made ... Who knows what they are
worth...

The final value question I like to open with when I discuss ROI on
security spending is "What is the value of the locks on your doors at
your home?"

Thanks,
Art

Denys,

the oil-companies can already drill in Texas and Louisianna.
However they choose to buy back their own stocks and therefore raise the
value of the stocks. Reason: often the compensation of oil-ceos depends
on the stock-value.
Makes sense, right.
Remember when Exxon paid the former CEO over $400 million as a nice
retirement-package. Who is worth that kind of money? NOBODY.

The oil-companies can already drill in many spots but see no reason to
do it.
The CEO's make huge bonuses and don't care about anything else.
GREED is the name of the game. Just ask Carly

Michael
