What I really meant was we, in the USA, are finally having to pay *realistic*
prices for our gasoline.

In 1983, I remember passing by a gas station at the corner of Sunset Blvd and
Highland Avenue in sunny Hollywood and the cost of regular 87 gasoline was $1.01

At that time, those in the U.K were already paying about $3 a gallon.

I meant that those in this country buying gasoline for their gas sucking
obnoxious SUV's have been getting their gasoline cheap for many years
while the rest of the world has been paying thru the nose for theirs.

How long before it is $10 a gallon?

Brian.
