Hi everyone,

I have been tasked with preparing a Cost Benefit Analysis showing the pros and cons of acquiring a 2nd HP3000 MPE machine for our environment. We are currently running a Series 969-200 and our production window is shrinking causing our online users to experience delays in processing. We are also unable to maintain a proper test environment due to all available space being allocated to our production volumeset.

I know there are any people and companies out there who can assist in a situation like this and I would be interested in seeing examples of Cost Benefit analysis documents used to promote the acquisition of an additional HP3000 machine. We currently use AMISYS v10, Suprtool, Omnidex, Cognos Powerhouse, and HP Cobol to support our environment. My CEO is willing to make the expenditure provided I can provide him with the benefits of having a Beta machine (as I call it) for our environment.

Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mr. Blanchard L. Carter
