Well... having *just* returned from a trip to Germany, I can tell you we're getting off easy at "only" $4/gallon...

Take a note of this photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/starman9x/2510052220/in/set-72157605164068556/

this is a photo of the pump while we were filling the rental before we turned it in

The price is in EURO's per LITRE...

[but also note, of that price, I'm told the TAXES on that amount to 0.80 euro, give or take a little...]

I am in Seattle and gas is hitting 4.00/gal. I surprised no one is
making a big stink about the price of gas.

I think we have become immune to these prices. There is no good reason
for these prices.

I would expect more out rage over energy prices.

A friend sent me a thought that, while funny, is also of merit when you
consider that my wife's Yukon XL has a 38 gallon tank!!

I'm waiting for Blue Book to base their car pricing on how much gas is
in the tank.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty and
well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming:

-- WOW!!! What a Ride!!!
