I'm sure you're all bored with this. But.
 
 The English and the French fought actual bloody wars against each other
from 1066 to 1815. 
 Since then we've been military allies, and we've both been grateful for
that.

 Nowadays they beat us at football, we beat them at rugby; our GDPs are
much the same, there's a tunnel
 taking trains from us to them and back again. They're neighbours and
allies. Equals in most respects.

 They laugh at our cuisine, we laugh at their hygiene. 
 Both stereotypes are 50 years out of date.

 There's not been much on this list that I've recognised as
mean-spirited racism, but 
 I guess some people are more sensitive than others. So, M Yokem,
(that's not a very
 French name, but let it pass) I apologise to you and your fellow
Hexagonistes.
