Well, I'm still not convinced. Allegro is usually very prompt and diligent
about updating their website with such information. I checked there
yesterday and there was no mention of Donna. I just checked again this
morning, still nothing and by my reckoning, it's been almost five days now.

Maybe it was a stealth contest of some sort, to see if anyone is paying
attention. In that case, I won. I wonder what the prize is. Carbon
credits, maybe? :-)

Donna, I wish you all the best.

Denys...

Hello friends,

I'm happy to report there is no hoax here. Ms. Hofmeister is now employed by
the Allegroids.

Oh, and the lowercase, if you are interested, springs from her years of
study of Posix on the HP 3000 and Unix elsewhere. "Those are case-sensitive
environments," she said Monday, day one at her new post. "I realized I could
stop shouting with all-capital letters" which the 3000 commands require.

Except for those caps on a more formal name, of course.

Best wishes to both Donna and Allegro,

Ron Seybold

This below message is obviously a fake. Notice the use of capital letters
and the return email address.

Wait until donna finds out there is someone named Donna Hofmeister working
at Allegro. What are the odds?

probably the trickiest part of what you're wanting to do is
to actually get the new/revised udc 'turned on'. as long as
the udc is busy, your changes can't be saved.

you'll certainly want to test your changes (duh :-)
hopefully you have a quiet place (another system or
non-production account) where you can make/test your changes.

if you can give us some more details, it will make answering
your question easier. - d
