Ian,

the message sounds like the socket programming is OK, but the
content you send, is not. I am not familiar with the low level
structure of a SOAP request without reading the standard docs,
but I notice that your request is probably missing a blank line
between the HTTP headers and the POSTed content.

Or did the eMail quoting just happen to remove that blank line?
