Hello all,

 

The UTC Chamber Singers will be featured on the Advent Calendar for the city
of Coburg Germany on December 6th, 11th, and 23rd.  You can see the page and
hear the Chamber Singers singing a different song each date.  The webpage is
located at www.coburg.de and while it is in German the music will not be!
One day will feature “Go Tell it on the Mountain” by UTC Holmberg Professor
of American Music Roland Carter.  Another date will feature “Shout the Glad
Tidings” by American composer Ned Rorem and yet another date will feature
the group singing “Bogoroditse Djevo” (Ave Maria) by Estonian composer Arvo
Pärt (The Chamber Singers do perform that one in Russian.).

 

Have a wonderful holiday season and if you have the time come and see
Professor Ronald Ulen and Dr. Rebecca St. Goar along with several UTC
students at Second Presbyterian Church on Christmas Eve at 5PM.  They will
be performing the Saint-Saens “Christmas Oratorio.”
