My wife and I were walking past our local pet shop, when we saw an
unusual cat in the shop display.

We didn't recognise the breed at all, but a little sign on its cage said
'Amsterdam cat'.

Now that's one I've never heard of, and I doubt if even Connie Sellitto
has, so naturally I was sceptical.

But it was a dear little thing, so we went into the shop to enquire
about it. But as I was so suspicious of its provenance, there was a
question I just had to ask the shopkeeper, and it was:
"Excuse me, but - how Dutch is that moggie in the window?"
