Carly does not "need" anything.  But it was never about Carly, it's about Carly's ego.
  
I remember when I saw Carly's picture with Gwen Stephanie on the cover of HP World, Carly was annoucing a Gwen designed version of the HP-Ipod.   I thought, "Now that is a picture of everything that's wrong with HP."
