I have a COBOL program that uses the intrinsic FOPEN to open a file.

Now I am looking at trying this with HFS syntax.
So I try : /ACCT/GROUP/FILENAME/LOCKWORD
-----

HFS is a posix-compliant file name system.
A good introduction to the posix file name syntax, and related
material on directories is well described in the Communicator
