Joshua Kadison is great! Don't know that I could make it work, but I would be interested in the price.

Bob…I will attend…
PS…Any interested parties…check out a wonderful songwriter named Joshua Kadison -- http://www.joshuakadison.com/ -- especially his Painted Desert Serenade CD. Doesn’t tour US much but is HUGE in Europe. One of the best piano men since Billy Joel… Been trying to reach out to him for years and based on recent conversations with him he might be coaxed our way if there are several interested venues.
Here is an amateur video posted on You Tube -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sU9r9Fgu6w –from a big gathering in Germany. You can get an idea of his music. Don’t have a clue about fee as yet, but even if we can’t afford him, I just wanted to introduce him to you.

Subject: October 2007 Booking Conference Registration!
Hear ye! Hear ye! The Fall 2007 Tennessee Presenters Booking Conference is hearby announced!
Seriously, all the details are now worked out, so plan on joining us in Memphis Sunday afternoon, October 28 and Monday, October 29 to get down to some serious block booking business at the germantown performing Arts Center.
We'll check in Sunday afternoon and meet in the lobby of the Homewood Suites of Germantown at 6:15 pm and then drive over to Yia Yia's Euro Cafe (near GPAC) for dinner beginning at 6:30 - 7:00 pm. Monday morning, we gather at GPAC for breakfast and a board meeting at 8:15 am followed by registration and a membership meeting prior to starting the booking sessions; hopefully by 10. We're planning to wrap things up by 3 pm CDT. (Those of you coming from the eastern side of the state rest assured that we'll start with blocks of interest to you in case you need to leave early so as not to arrive at home in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.)
New this year, for any artists or agents who may wish to attend, we have registration options for you. While we know that Memphis is quite a distance across the state (or country) for some of you, Sunday evening and the Monday morning board and business meetings do offer an excellent networking opportunity for you.
There are a couple of operational details everyone needs to be aware of. We got an excellent rate on some suites thanks to Carrie and Tania's legendary negotiating abilties, but to get that rate, GPAC will have to write the check for the entire block of rooms we use. Also, since some of us in government employment may need hotel receipts, we've come up with a solution that gets around that issue while getting us the good discount. Consequently (and this is repeated in the attached registration form), when reserving your room, you need to call Carrie Corbett at GPAC (her direct line is 901-751-7501) or e-mail her at [log in to unmask] to reserve your room. She will make the arrangements for you.
The hotel fee is included as an option on you registration form.
If you are coming from out of town, make sure to check the line on the form indicating you are staying at the Homewood Suites and bring your check made out for not only the amount of the conference fees but the hotel fee as well. All checks should be made out to Tennessee Presenters Corporation. We will in turn write GPAC a check to cover the rooms we use. Please note also that additional charges you may incur during your stay will not be covered by GPAC or Tennessee Presenters. Don't even think about trying it; we know where you live. Bring the registration form and your check to the meeting - we'll collect everything Monday morning at registration.
Sherri Leathers will be sending out a notice very soon asking all of us to send in additional information for the block booking spreadsheet for next season and, once that information is gathered, will e-mail a copy of the spreadsheet to everyone prior to the meeting. That's the sheet from which we will begin working Monday morning. Come prepared to pitch your interests, bring printed material as well as CDs or DVDs and find some folks to help you get where you want to go next year with your season. I'll also forward the infamous "How to Be a Blockhead" dissertation from NCPC in a few days so everyone remembers what we need of those who are going to take reponsibility for the individual blocks.
Post up here and let us know that you're attending - we're looking forward to seeing everyone in Memphis!
