you might want to get a copy of this:
(coming in late, i realize....)
you might want to get a copy of this:
http://invent3k.external.hp.com/~MGR.GARVERIC/install_notes.doc
ps, for those of you with roundtuits (:-) it appears that invent3k is up today.. if getting a copy of this document or the sysconf job has been on your list of things to do....you might want to take a minute and get them both downloaded. invent3k has been down a lot lately and i'm not entirely sure that hp wants to keep invent3k running. so...get them while you can....

Subject: [HP3000-L] Replacing failed disk
I had a disk that went south on me and I have replace the disk. It is on a
private volume set and I do have a full backup of the affected set.
How do I get the new drive to be recognized as part of the private volume set
so that I can get back in business.
I inherited this system am not totally familiar with all that is required.
Thanks,
Richard
